We are accustomed to <br />presenting our design ideas to different clients and clients' review committees, such as historic <br />boards, design review boards, staff meetings, etc., and working with various stakeholders to <br />achieve consensus. These meetings have been particularly important in our work with residential <br />communities such as The Venetian Islands, Biscayne Pointe, Orchard Park, etc. in Miami Beach <br />and other projects requiring approval such as Pinecrest Gardens Lighting, South Pointe Park, and <br />Museum Park. The goal is to understand the City's goals in regards to the potential user and <br />park program, long-term maintenance and material selection. <br /> <br />.Conceptual Drawings/Renderings: <br />After meeting with all the parties involved to establish possible programmatic requirements, and <br />conducting a thorough site analysis. Savino & Miller will create illustrative site plans, site render <br />ings or models with "alternative" programs as appropriate to the project: ( using Sketch-up, Rhino <br />for 3D Photoshop, and physical models) for better client visualization and understanding of the <br />project and to get City approval prior to commencing the Design Process. <br /> <br />.Surveys: <br />Under our direction and as requested by the City, our team members: Langan Engineering and <br />JALRW Engineers, will be in charge of preparing accurate surveys that will include all underground <br />and aboveground utilities, boundaries, and all other site elements which impact project design. <br /> <br />\ <br />, <br /> <br />.Drawings & Specifications: <br />Since 1993, Savino & Miller Design Studio has been preparing drawings (from schematic through <br />Construction Documents) and specifications for a wide range of landscape architectural projects <br />in the South Florida area. We are proficient in the understanding of many codes that affect this <br />project such as: Florida Building Code, City of Sunny Isles Zoning Ordinance, FOOT regulations, <br />DERM, etc. <br /> <br />) <br />) <br />) <br /> <br />\ <br />J <br /> <br />Documents are prepared in Auto Cad, latest version and complimentary documents are submitted <br />in Xcel, Sketch up, Photoshop, in-design, pdf, etc. as required. Documents can be placed in an <br />FTP site, e-transmitted, saved in flash drives or cd's as requested by our clients. <br /> <br />.Cost Estimates & Feasibility Analysis: <br />Opinions of construction cost are performed regularly by our firm. They are done in an itemized <br />spreadsheet that corresponds to the Plans. Some projects require a cost benefit analysis in terms <br />of resource allocation. These studies will help sometimes in phasing the projects as a requested <br />possibility in this RFQ. <br /> <br />.Permits: <br />Our team members are committed to obtaining all permits necessary to build the parks. Langan <br />Engineering will be primarily responsible for permit acquisition. <br /> <br />.Sustainability: <br />With our projects we like to promote sustainable practices with the following items: <br />Plant Palette: Identify other plants/plantings that promote a unique identity to Sunny Isles Beach <br />Materials selection, lighting and drainage solutions should take into account improving the the City <br />Maintenance by creating design for long-term durability / low maintenance <br />Site Furniture: Coordinate selection of site furniture to be functional but also contribute to the <br />character and quality of the City. <br />Paving design, & lighting to be specified for long term maintenance, and energy savings. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />191 <br />
