<br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />} <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br />) <br /> <br />Project Methodology <br /> <br />SMDS is very familiar with the project design process as described in the Intracoastal Parks RFQ, which is <br />very similar to some of our projects and it is generally as follows: <br /> <br />1.Pre-Design Services and Field Verification <br />2.visioning Process <br />3.Public review <br />4.Preparation of a Final Design Concept and approval <br />5.Document Preparation <br />6.Permitting <br />7.lmplementation (Construction Phase Services) <br /> <br />The following is an outline description of the Scope of Work to be provided by the Savino and Miller Design <br />Studio Project pursuant to the City of Sunny Isles Beach Request for Qualifications. <br /> <br />I. PRE- DESIGN SERVICES: <br /> <br />A. Project Kick-Off Meeting <br />B. Prepare a certified topographic survey for each site, including all site elements that will affect the <br />design in Auto-cad Format <br />C. Provide geotechnical reports to understand subsoil characteristics such as percolation and <br />drainage capacity, soil bearing capacity, etc. <br />D. Meet with sub consultants and do a site inventory analysis to understand existing conditions, <br />opportunities and constraints. <br />E. Meet with City Staff, Commission, or any committee as required to understand goals and <br />objectives. Further define program, potential users, etc. <br />F. Develop Design Concept(s) with Site illustrations such as Site Plans, perspective sketches as <br />necessary to explain the ideas. <br />1.Preliminary Budgets <br />G. Visioning Sessions with Staff, Mayor and Commission Members <br />H.lf required, Workshop to present the ideas to the community <br />1.0ne Public (one meeting) <br />I. Final Design Submission with opinion of probable cost. <br />1.Presentation Meeting to Commission if required <br /> <br />II. DESIGN SERVICES: <br /> <br />J. Once conceptual Design is approved by the City Manager we will start the preparation of the <br />permittable Construction Documents. <br />K. The team will provide documents at 30% completion, 60% completion, 90% completion and <br />100% completion in order to coordinate the effort between sub-consultants and with all agencies <br />having jurisdiction over the Parks. These Agencies may include: City of Sunny Isles Beach, Miami <br />Dade County, DERM, US Coast Guard, The Army Corps of Engineers and PERA. <br />L. Provide the necessary services for obtaining final permit sets. <br />M. Provide Copies (electronic and hardcopies) as required by the City's representative. <br />N. Present to Commission: Conceptual, Progress and final Design. <br /> <br /> <br />78 ~ <br />
