Marcanthony Tulloch, Purchasing Agent

RE: Design & Permitting Services of the Intracoastal Parks
Request for Qualifications No. 12-04-04

Dear Mr. Tulloch:

I have worked with Savino Miller Design Studio as Project Manager for the Brickell
Avenue Median Streetscape project in the early 1990's and have been working with
them over the past several years on the City of Miami Museum Park project. On projects
of varying scales and project scope, SMDS provides a creative design approach which
incorporates abundant experience in working within the pragmatic requirements of
public sector work.

Furthermore, Savino & Miller is incorporating a range of sustainable initiatives, such as
reduction of asphalt paving surfaces, alternative parking treatments, use of local paving
materials, site furniture, native plants, irrigation technologies, and LED lighting, into the
Museum Park design.

Our experience with Savino & Miller has been very positive. They have demonstrated a
high level of professionalism in their approach and work hard to see their projects are
built according to the original design intent, providing important value engineering skills
to the process. Barry Miller, Principal of SMDS, has been involved in all phases of the
work and collaborates well within a design team environment.

In conclusion, Savino Miller Design Studio would make an excellent choice as
Landscape Architect for the Sunny Isles Beach Intracoastal Park project.

Please feel free to call me at (305) 416-1419 if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

;; .
