Marcanthony Tulloch, Purchasing Agent <br /> <br />RE: Design & Permitting Services of the Intracoastal Parks <br />Request for Qualifications No.12-04-04 <br /> <br />Dear Mark: <br /> <br />The City of North Miami has recently worked with Savino Miller on the N.E. 12Sth Streetscape Project, and the Pioneer <br />Boulevard Entry & Streetscape project both in North Miami, Florida. <br /> <br />For the 12Sth Streetscape Project, Savino & Miller's work involved developing streetscape design concepts for our city's <br />central business district. Savino Miller led the master planning effort, especially relating to the relationship between the <br />existing architectural aesthetic, building-to-public right-of way relationships, and site issues. The first phase, built with <br />ARRA funding was a million dollar sidewalk design which key elements included the paving pattern, which focused on <br />historic design elements. The Master Plan included as well a sustainable streetscape planting, and streetscape re- <br />configuration that included tree palms and planted bulb outs, and pervious paving parking spaces. <br /> <br />Pioneer Boulevard is the main street of a residential neighborhood in North Miami. Savino & Miller designed the <br />improvements and restoration to the historic fountain on NE 6th Avenue, as well as the streetscape's paving and planting <br />improvements from NE 6th Avenue to West Dixie Highway. Flowering trees approved by the city have recently been <br />installed. The project fountain improvements are going to bid and we anticipate completion this year. <br /> <br />Savino Miller provided landscape architectural services which included master planning, design documents and <br />construction administration.
