E X l E P T 1 0 N A L S 0 L LI T 1 0 N< R NW 116TH WAY CORRIDOR STUDY 5Medley, Florida The Town of Medley requested Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. to conduct a Corridor Study for NW 116th Way, between NW 108 Avenue and NW South River Drive. The Town of Medley is a predominately an industrial community encompassing 3,847 acres in northwest Miami Dade County. The Town is adjacent to the City of Hialeah to the east, the City of Hialeah Gardens to the north and east, the City of Doral and the City of Miami Springs to the south, and areas of unincorporated Miami -Dade County to the west and the south. NW 116th Way is a designated truck route and classified as a 6 -lane divided urban minor arterial roadway which runs in the east /west direction with a posted speed limit of 35 miles per hour (mph) within the study area. The scope of this corridor study included the development of 2030 background traffic conditions utilizing available regional traffic modeling information and future land use projections. The 2030 traffic projections were utilized to evaluate the operational conditions of NW 1161h Way and the corresponding six study intersections. This study will also evaluated potential traffic mitigation alternatives to improve arterial and intersection level of service. Existing right of way limitations will be identified and considered in the development of alternatives.
