<br />Richard Cannone recently joined Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. as the Planning
<br />Administrator. Mr. Cannone will be responsible for the preparation of comprehensive
<br />land use plan amendments for public and private clients, as well as assisting the
<br />t,
<br />Planning Department with required analyses for EAR -based Amendments and
<br />Comprehensive Plans. In addition to comprehensive planning, Mr. Cannone will assist
<br />the Department in representing various municipal clients of CGA by reviewing
<br />applications, preparing staff reports and attending meetings for current planning
<br />activities, including but not limited to development applications such as rezoning, site
<br />plan and plat review, special exception, conditional use and amendments to the
<br />d_ comprehensive plan. When required, Mr. Cannone will be responsible for project
<br />F management, scheduling and budgeting for private and public sector clients.
<br />City of Clairton, Clairton, Pennsylvania. City Manager /Finance Director /Tax
<br />Collector. Chief Executive Officer of a Pennsylvania Third Class City located in the
<br />Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania metropolitan area. Responsible to a five member City Council
<br />for the day -to -day operations of the municipality including, but not limited to, finance
<br />and budgeting, economic development, building, planning, code enforcement,
<br />community development, public works, library, contract management for utilities and
<br />other contracts, public safety (police, volunteer fire and EMS), risk management,
<br />recreation administration, labor negotiations and personnel matters. Mr. Cannone was
<br />responsible for approximately 30 full -time and part -time employees with an annual
<br />budget of approximately $4 million.

<br />f Services, Housing, Economic Development and CRA Departments. Performed highly
<br />complex and responsible managerial and administrative work directing physical and
<br />economic development /redevelopment, community redevelopment, planning and
<br />zoning programs, and code enforcement /compliance to ensure growth of City and
<br />efficient use of City's resources in adherence with long and short -term goals, ordinances,
<br />policies and procedures pertaining to development services. Directed and supervised
<br />( ) the operation and oversaw the daily activities of the Economic Development, Planning
<br />- -) and Zoning, Code Compliance, Building, Community Redevelopment Agency and
<br />Engineering divisions within the Department of Development Services that included a
<br />i staff of 35 full time employees and a budget of approximately $15 million. Acted as
<br />primary liaison with the public and City officials in the receipt, processing, review and
<br />recommendation of all land development applications. Responded to public inquiries
<br />regarding City development and planning. Consulted with investors and developers who
<br />are reviewing the City, prepared and gave presentations to various interested civic and
<br />professional groups as it relates to redevelopment of the City.
