r Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. <br />E X C E P T 1 0 N A L S o l U T 1 0 N S <br />t <br />9 <br />DOUGLAS TAYLOR, PE <br />Director, Civil Engineering and Municipal Services <br />SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS <br />Mr. Taylor has been responsible for a multitude of municipal engineering and <br />development projects throughout Florida. This includes project management, master <br />design responsibility and oversight for a variety of projects. <br />During his 28 years of experience, Mr. Taylor has performed numerous drainage studies, <br />designed many storm water management systems, designed tens of miles of roads, <br />watermain, sanitary, and storm sewers, along with thousands of acres of grading, and <br />drainage on municipal, commercial, institutional, recreational, and industrial projects in <br />Florida, and the Caribbean. <br />SAMPLE PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />City of Oakland Park, Kimberly Lake Flood Mitigation and Water Quality <br />Enhancement Project., Oakland Park, FL; Project Director. Built out in the late <br />1970s, the 72 acre Kimberly Lake drainage basin had been an area prone to extreme <br />flooding for a number of years. The City of Oakland Park staff wished to develop <br />alternate solutions to mitigate the flooding issues and present those to the City <br />Commission.. Directed surveying, engineering, consensus building, liaison with <br />governmental agencies, and construction related services on the project. The <br />performance of the designed improvements has met the City's expectations. <br />Hallandale Beach NE Quadrant Drainage Study & Improvements, Hallandale <br />Beach, FL, Project Manager. There are a number of drainage facilities within the 200 <br />plus acre project area with limited conveyance capacity and high head loss. Using ICPR, <br />CGA modeled a proposed system of two pump stations connected to sixteen wells while <br />maintaining the existing gravity wells and gravity outfall. These sixteen new wells will <br />be pressurized with fifteen (15) feet of head in order to produce the necessary discharge <br />into the G3 aquifer. FDEP and the Broward County Environmental Resource Department <br />and FDEP have permitted the project. <br />Indian Trace Community Development District, Weston, FL. Mr. Taylor works on <br />- -) various design projects and "troubleshoots" issues related to the District. The Indian <br />Trace Development District (ITCDD), a dependent district of the City of Weston, consists <br />5 ) of 2,245 acres of interconnected lakes and wetlands discharging into the South Florida <br />Water Management District (SFWMD) C -11 West Canal. The water quality and discharge <br />rates are controlled by the two large stormwater pump stations on the southern <br />` boundary of the community. . <br />College Avenue Improvements, Davie, FL - Project Manager. Design and permitting <br />Of .60 miles of improvements for the Town of Davie including taking a two lane rural <br />section with drainage to a four lane urban section with bike lanes, curbing, median, <br />sidewalk, a new drainage system. lighting„ landscaping, and irrigation.
