R.J.Behar & Company, Inc. J Engineers • P l a n e e r s Consultant Work Order Proposal—City of Sunny Isles Beach Supplemental#3 ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR SAMSON OCEANFRONT PARK. LIGHTING MODIFICATION AND PERMITTING ASSISTANCE AND ADDITIONAL RPR. R.J. Behar & Company, Inc. (RJ Behar) is providing engineering and architectural services for improvements to Samson Oceanfront Park located at SR AlA (Collins Avenue) and NE 174th Street in the City of Sunny Isles Beach; pursuant to its Professional Services Agreement with the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. This request for additional services related to site lighting modifications and FDEP permit procurement. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: FDEP Coastal Construction Control Line (CCCL) permit DA-679-FO was issued for the project on January 9, 2015, including authorization for a lighting plan with 20 fixtures. An application to modify the CCCL permit was submitted on April 19, 2016 which included revisions to the previously permitting lighting plan. Prior to issuance of the FDEP permit modification, an additional revised lighting plan was submitted to FWC. However, per feedback from FWC on July 8,2016,this second lighting plan revision was not accepted because some of the proposed lights did not meet FWC requirements for "sea turtle friendly lighting" (i.e. generally low wattage, shielded, downward facing lights not visible from the shoreline). The scope of work for this proposal includes efforts to date (beyond the scope of the existing contracts 7-0174-POI and 7-0174-P02) to work with the project team and FWC to seek FWC approval of the lighting plan while meeting public safety and security requirements. It also includes an additional 4 months of Full time on site RPR services to cover extended construction duration thru February of 2017. I. ENGINEERING SERVICES: • Contract Management This entails coordinating and managing the subconsultants and ensuring their compliance with project schedule and budget and attendance at additional meetings. • Full Time on-site RPR 1. Observe construction for compliance with plans 2. Prepare weekly Reports 3. Review all contractor submittals • Attend Weekly Progress meetings II.
