<br />South Dade Redevelopment Plan, Miami-Dade County, Florida - An economic development plan
<br />for nine low-income neighborhoods in Dade County, Florida. Measured the economic life of these
<br />neighborhoods, their positioning versus major employment centers, competition for housing and
<br />area businesses from adjoining neighborhoods, and the degree to which their economic growth
<br />was affected by major problems related to housing, education and crime.
<br />Altos de Cuervo Master Plan, Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico – Project Manager for the master plan of
<br />Altos de Cuervo, an 850-acre Greenfi eld site overlooking the town of Tequila in the province
<br />of Jalisco, Mexico. B&A was charged with not only preparing the design master plan, but also
<br />defi ning the general program and theme for the project. The project is being developed in
<br />phases. Phase I addressed the development of the program and the overall site Master Plan. The
<br />site’s exceptional location and views coupled with the towns unique tourism attraction formed
<br />the basis for program development and project phasing. The fi nal selected Master Plan option
<br />proposes the development of an 18-hole golf course, an equestrian center, single family homes,
<br />and tourism oriented facilities
<br />Costa del Este Master Plan, Panama City, Panama - Project Manager for developing a long range
<br />master plan for an existing 700 acre development. This community, which was phased to market
<br />demand, includes residential units as well as commercial / retail and offi ces. Costa del Este also
<br />encompasses industrial warehouses, a regional shopping center, golf course and marina.
<br />Costa del Sol Master Plan, Panama - Project Manager for a comprehensive master plan for a satellite
<br />city built on over 850 hectares of available land, supports a diverse mix use commercial, residential
<br />and industrial uses.
<br />The World Master Planning Project, Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Project Manager. Providing
<br />coordination on all projects with architects and planners, assisting in the development of the master
<br />plan for The World project, defi ning potential channel locations between islands, calculating
<br />quantities of earthwork for island development, preparing plot boundaries consisting of property
<br />lines, coordinates, and distances, analyzing proposed master plans from clients ensuring compliancy
<br />with Design Control Regulation (DCR), and coordinating all facets of engineering projects.
<br />Kuala Terengganu North and South Reclaimed Land Area Master Plan, Malaysia - Project Manager
<br />for the preparation of the master plan for a 500 acre (182 hectares) land reclamation project at the
<br />mouth of the Kuala Terengganu River. The project is pivotal in creating a physical link between the
<br />newly developed areas. The site, bisected by the river mouth, will be linked on the south and the new
<br />areas to the north through a central boulevard and a new bascule bridge at the river mouth. The
<br />north reclaimed land area, includes both locally oriented residential uses, signature offi ce buildings,
<br />a large retail mall, hotels and a family entertainment area. The reclaimed land area’s basin has
<br />suffi cient depth and turning radius to accommodate the berthing of a vessel of up to 290 meters in
<br />length-over-all. The south reclaimed land area will be linked to the existing urban fabric through the
<br />extension of local streets, the construction of a new central boulevard and the location of the New
<br />City Hall.
<br />Guste Homes Hope VI, New Orleans, Louisiana - As part of the National Housing Group Team,
<br />developed the urban design plan and preliminary architectural schematics for the HOPE VI grant
<br />application of the Guste Homes project located in the urban core of the City of New Orleans,
<br />Louisiana. Responsible for planning and architectural analysis.
<br />New Haven Empowerment Zone Neighborhood Plan, New Haven, Connecticut - Developed
<br />neighborhood revitalization plans for two of the city’s largest neighborhoods, Fair Haven and The
<br />Hill, as part of the city’s Empowerment Zone Plan. Arranged neighborhood meetings and developed
<br />a rapport with the local Hispanic and African-American neighborhood residents. An economic
<br />development plan incorporated job training programs for neighborhood residents.
