SGM Engineering, Inc. <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach RFP No. 12-04-02 <br />Continuing Professional Architectural & Engineering Services <br />Firms Only (CCNA) <br />Section 3 – Staffing <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Escott is skilled in the design of electrical systems including, but not limited to, fire alarm and detection <br />systems, medium and low voltage AC power systems, Electronic Security Systems (ESS), uninterruptible power <br />systems, computer power conditioning, grounding, lightning protection, lighting control systems, emergency <br />power, hazardous area electrical installations, control and monitoring systems, cable tray systems, <br />communications raceway systems, and communications premise wiring. <br /> <br />Both Mr. Lizasoain and Mr. Escott are successful Project Managers as they have demonstrated to simultaneously <br />manage the four basic elements of a project including resources, time, money, and most importantly, scope. All <br />these elements are interrelated. Each must be managed effectively. Our Project Managers manages these <br />elements together making the project and the project manager a success. Our Project Managers understand the <br />project management process includes but is not limited to first agreeing the complete accurate specifications for <br />the project , Plan the project considering factors such as time, team, activities, resources, financials using SGM’s <br />project management software and support, Communicate the project plan to the project team and owner, <br />delegate project actions based on the strengths of individuals, <br /> <br />manage and motivate staff by informing, encouraging, enabling the entire project team, Quality Assurance and <br />Checks to measure, monitor, review project progress communicating the project team and others, and <br />successfully complete project concluding a review and report on project performance. <br /> <br />Mr. Lizasoain and Mr. Escott’s commissioning backgrounds include high containment facilities which include <br />many potential risks associated with translating the design intent into the completed facility. In addition, Our <br />Project Managers ensure that both commissioning and validation are important tasks as these activities minimize <br />the risk of subsequent rework and building alterations, which can be both costly and disruptive to the program of <br />work. Our Project Managers experience is in commissioning for building envelopes, thermal barrier to provide <br />insulating properties, a vapor barrier to prevent the diffusion of moisture through the building, drainage planes to <br />effectively manage water infiltration, and an air barrier to control the movement of air across the building <br />envelope. Satisfying these requirements led to significant changes in building envelope construction. <br /> <br />SGM Project Managers will ensure: <br />• Provide daily communication between City and the project team <br />• Coordinate, manage and execute concurrent project tasks <br />• Perform QA/QC with at the various design stages <br />• Develop design schemes <br />• Coordinate with Key personnel <br />• Pool Project Resource Professionals <br /> <br />Project Resource Professionals <br />• Perform site visits to verify existing conditions <br />• Perform energy model simulation <br />• Perform life cycle cost analysis <br />• Provide insight / recommendations drawn on past experience to the Project Manager <br />• Assist in the overall design effort <br />• Assist in bidding and contractor selection <br />• Conduct Construction Administration <br /> <br />Size of Firm <br />SGM has 26 staff-members in all disciplines available to perform job assignments. The staff committed to this <br />contract will be immediately available for your projects and the depth of staff will provide support when necessary <br />to handle multiple projects concurrently.
