SGM has 21 years of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering <br />design experience related to energy efficient, m aintenance, remodeling, renovation and construction of MEP <br />systems for local and federal government facilities. SGM’s business approach is to review, evaluate, design and <br />recommend the most efficient, cost effective, and safest method possible for all of our clients and the projects we <br />undertake. <br /> <br />SGM was founded and Incorporated in the state of Florida in 1991. SGM is registered as a member of the U.S. <br />Green Building Council. The Council, representing all segments of the building industry, developed the LEED® <br />(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System ®, which is a voluntary, consensus- <br />based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. <br /> <br />SGM is capable and qualified to design all aspects of MEP/FP systems for renovations, additions, and new facilities <br />with knowledgeable emphasis on codes and energy conservation requirements. Our staff is structured with many <br />qualified and experienced Project Managers that complete their projects on -time and within budget. Each Project <br />Manager has Engineers, Designers and Cad Tech staff who are assigned to a specific project. SGM also has <br />Certified Commissioning Agents on staff committed to providing quality Commissioning Services from early in the <br />design phase, through construction and into the warranty period. The staff committed to your project will be <br />immediately available for your assignment and the depth of staff will provide support when necessary to handle <br />multiple projects concurrently. The most important aspect of availability will be centered on our Key Management <br />Staff so that the overall program management controls can be implemented quickly and efficiently. <br /> <br />SGM’s experience in the rehabilitation of existing facilities is similar to that of new fa cilities. Our staff has completed <br />MEP designs for various existing facilities including chiller plants, government facilities, training facilities, and <br />administration buildings facilities. Our staff has managed numerous addition and renovation projects t hrough <br />modernization, upgrades, and continuing service contracts. We understand that work on occupied buildings <br />requires careful planning in the design process and throughout construction.
