Our staff has
completed MEP designs for various existing facilities including chiller plants, government facilities, and
administration buildings facilities. Our staff has managed numerous addition and renovation projects
through modernization, upgrades, and continuing service contracts. We understand that work on
occupied buildings requires careful planning in the design process and throughout construction.
Coordination and communication among the designer, owner, users, and local agencies are imperative to
the success of any phased construction process.

Mechanical designs included life cycle cost analysis, energy calculations, of existing chiller plant with
added capacity for future new classroom buildings, new chilled water piping and controls to feed existing
campus, building AHU’s, VAV’s, electric heat, EMS controls, outside air intake and ductwork. All
discipline designs were in accordance with Florida Building code, Florida Mechanical code, Florida fire
prevention code and standards set by the associated Counties.

Our team will ensure that there will be documented and constant communication with the City of Sunny
Isles Beach and SGM’s engineers. We will involve the facility end users and the City’s personnel
throughout the entire design process. Our approach described below provides the City with an organized
way to resolve a variety of projects. It is important to know that each task order will have a specific
approach which is appropriate to its scope of work.

We trust that our proposal will convincingly demonstrate the requirements of the RFP are met. You will
note our proposal will demonstrate all requirements have been completely analyzed, evaluated, and
defined to display to the City of Sunny Isles Beach our capability and competence. SGM meets the
expectations of the City and will meet the City’s requirements. SGM’s goal is for a long and productive
working relationship with the City of Sunny Isles Beach, and a commitment to providing the highest level
of professional services. We greatly appreciate your time and consideration.

Sincerely

Tony Shahnami, P.E., CxA, FE, CES, CHS-lll
President
