SGM Engineering, Inc. <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach RFP No. 12-04-02 <br />Continuing Professional Architectural & Engineering Services <br />Firms Only (CCNA) <br />Section 4 – Approach and Methodology <br /> <br /> <br />Project managers receive daily email notices when RFI’s are late. Each SGM team member is responsible for the <br />quality of the work performed and for meeting the milestone dates created in the project schedule. Work production <br />is supervised by each of the above project managers for each discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, an d Plumbing Fire <br />Protection) and by SGM’s in house QA/QC team. SGM Contact Representative, Tony Shahnami, will be <br />responsible for allocating personnel. Mr. Shahnami will be in charge of closely monitoring the progression of the <br />project with the City of Sunny Isles Beach to ensure SGM meets the contractual terms from the City. <br /> <br />Mr. Shahnami will be the single point of contact for the staff for the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Mr. Shahnami will <br />assign SGM resources for the design phase as well as establishing a nd maintain quality control. SGM Quality <br />Assurance Managers will review the design criteria issues. SGM Quality Assurance Manager ensures the delivery <br />of work meets current code requirements, energy efficiency requirements, feasibility, constructability a nd <br />conformance with architectural, engineering and environmental standards and procedures. <br /> <br />Maximize cost savings while designing and constructing all projects with on-time performance on <br />a schedule that meets all of your expectations <br /> By using our in-house professional cost estimators, SGM will ensure an accurate cost estimate is provided with <br />each design submission <br /> Utilize Means cost estimating data <br /> Receive actual cost information from manufacturers representatives or local distribution <br /> Use unit pricing information from years of practical experience <br /> Utilize the internet for material pricing information <br /> Stay informed of local workloads to determine competitiveness expected for the project <br /> Evaluate the commodity market increases or decreases to determine pricing influences <br /> Review these cost estimates at each phase to determine if design is tracking to budget <br /> Find creative ways to maximize the scope that can be achieved for the allowed budget <br /> <br />
