All of the principals are involved in all levels of the decision - making process and all work out of a sin- gle office. Under this type of contract, the in -house team assigned to a project remains committed to that project for its duration, further enhancing pro- ject team coordination. This system of communi- cation and continuity has resulted in an impressive record of successfully completed public projects. WA also makes sure to communicate not only with the City, but when necessary the citizens though workshops and charrettes to convey its designs and gain public input into their project. For 35 years, WA has continued to remain strong with a dedicated management staff that has an average tenure of 29 years with the firm. With a stable staffing level and exceptional professional expertise, WA has been able to respond to pro- jects of any scope and complexity while assuring the personal contact and attention required for efficient and productive services. The resources of the team brings the expertise and depth of resources required to successfully deliver projects under this contract on time and on budget. The team will be organized beginning with the Principal -in- Charge (PIC), Julio E. Alvarez, PE, who will direct the overall effort of the team, and will be responsible for allocating personnel, financial and production resources necessary to execute the work plan and accomplish the pro- ject's goals and objectives. The PIC, working closely with the project manager, will monitor the project's progress to ensure adherence to contrac- tual terms and conduct periodic audits of schedule and technical performance of all in -house person- nel as well as outside consultants. Project Manager With more than 30 years of experience Marcel Morlote, AIA has extensive design experience with a diverse range of projects. He has served as the project manager or principal -in- charge for several projects for the City of Miami Beach, Village of ARCHITECTURE ENGINEERING PLANNING INTERIOR DESIGN City of Sunny Isles Beach Page 14 ' Pinecrest, Town of Cutler Bay. Mr. Morlote is cur- rently the project manager on the well received Flamingo Park Master Plan and Tennis Center projects and therefore brings recent and relevant work experience as well as a strong knowledge of local codes and construction practices, and design and management requirements for this type of project. Project Management All of WA's managers employ a demonstrated management approach that is highly effective in ensuring both quality and contract compliance in the performance of similar types of projects. This approach comprises the following critical compo- nents: • An organizational structure with clear lines of authority, responsibility, accountability and communication • A team led by a project manager with a proven track record of managing multitask contracts • Tools that support the project manager in planning, scheduling, budgeting, performance measurement, evaluation and quality control • Project tracking and documentation proce- dures and systems for early identification of performance issues • A methodology for timely corrective action, as required • Formalized communication to facilitate team- work afl �: pt 7-P
