<br />new vehicle maintenance and public works facility housing approxi-
<br />mately 30,000 SF including a vehicle service bays, wash and fueling
<br />facility to accommodate 6 trolleys and approximately 120 vehicles.
<br />Project to be LEED Silver.
<br />Palmetto Bay Library and Community Center, Palmetto Bay, FL
<br />Mechanical engineer for a new 9,000 SF Library and Community
<br />Center. The Library and Community Center will be utilized as a meet-
<br />ing place within the community for a variety of seminars and events.
<br />As the first significant new building for the Village, the architectural
<br />vocabulary and materials palette selected will become the standard
<br />for future developments.
<br />Vizcaya Museum and Gardens Miscellaneous Continuing Con-
<br />tract, Miami, FL Principal -in- Charge for A/E services to the Historic
<br />Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. The projects under this contract in-
<br />clude Architectural restorations, re- roofing, re- painting, ADA en-
<br />hancements, Electrical Upgrades, Stormwater Discharge Manage-
<br />ment System and new building construction. In addition to the pro-
<br />ject scope WA also is assisting in the bidding and permitting phase of
<br />the project along with Construction Administration services.
<br />Pinecrest Park and Community Center, Village of Pinecrest, FL
<br />Mechanical engineer for the design of this new 10 -acre park for the
<br />Village of Pinecrest, Florida. The park includes two soccer fields, two
<br />softball fields, batting cages, a tot lot, perimeter jogging path with
<br />fitness stations, a covered shelter and a 5,000 SF community center.
<br />Suniland Park and Community Center, Village of Pinecrest, FL
<br />Mechanical engineer for 10 acres of active park space with multipur-
<br />pose athletic fields (baseball and football), batting cages, a recreation
<br />center, basketball courts, an Internet Wi -Fi Spot and a tot lot.
<br />City of Miami Fire Station No. 11, Miami, FL Mechanical engineer
<br />for a new 10,000 SF Fire Station for the City of Miami. The station is
<br />equipped with two bays for rescue vehicles, sleeping quarters for six
<br />fire fighters, a biohazard room for used medical supplies, a Cascade
<br />room for storage and preparation of oxygen bottles, and a commer-
<br />cial kitchen.
<br />Cocowalk Parking Garage Expansion, Coconut Grove, FL Me-
<br />chanical Engineer for expansion and improvements to Cocowalk a
<br />new, five - level, 140,000 SF parking garage for 360 vehicles, with
<br />ground level retail facilities and eight new cinemas on the top level of
<br />the garage. Careful construction scheduling was required to minimize
<br />disruption of normal operations which continued through construc-
<br />tion.
