The WA team recognizes that the key component for a successful project is a group of professionals that are passionate about the project and the City, and understands that the City is essentially a product of its people and therefore is forever changing, dynamic and complex. The projects under this contract will be guided by a comprehen- sive approach to understanding the needs of the user, by schedule and cost parameters and with the involvement and participation of those actively involved in the area. WA will perform architecture and MEP design ser- vices for the preparation of the construction docu- ments. O'Leary Richards Design Associates (ORDA) will be the Landscape Architect and Bliss & Nyitray (BNI) will be the structural engineer. WA will attend design review meetings to present and discuss the design process and concepts at differ- ent stages during the design and will work with the city's staff to adjust and revise project scope as deemed necessary to meet established budgets. If charrette's are needed to communicate the design to the public, WA will provide the necessary mate- rials and approach to gain insight and acceptance from the community. The in -house team assigned to this contract re- mains committed to the team for the duration. This system of continuity has resulted in an impressive record of successfully completed projects. Quality, cost and schedule control are paramount through- out the duration of a project so, project teams are structured for optimum communication between clients and designers. All key personnel have extensive experience working on municipal projects similar in nature to the types of projects that will be issued under this contract. The City will benefit from WA's knowl- edge of LEED certification as it has several pro- jects currently in the design process, that when completed will achieve a LEED Silver certification. The organizational structure at WA has been de- veloped to offer large office expertise within a highly efficient small office structure. In order to accomplish this, the firm operates as a series of "small office teams" that function quasi - independently. The project manager of each team is responsible for, and manages, the work of a complete team of architects and engineers. While under the technical leadership of each department head, each team member's time and assignments are administratively dictated by the project man- ager. The project manager will maintain control and accountability for each of the projects as- signed under this contract, It is this organizational structure, combined with our independent quality control team and an uncompromising insistence on performance, that insures that all projects will be handled in a consistent, professional, thorough and timely manner. WA's management approach is specifically reflective of an attitude toward com- pleting the tasks defined in any given scope of work. Overall, the firm's multi - disciplined orientation of- fers versatility and one -stop shopping for the City from the planning stages of a project to on -site construction inspection services. Ability to Control Schedule and Budget In order to accomplish the project goals, an archi- tectural and engineering coordinator are strategi- cally placed within the organization to insure inte- gration of all disciplines during design and con- struction. In addition, a quality control coordinator is positioned with an independent group of in- house professionals to review and validate the finished product with a high level of technical per- formance. This integrated and proven approach to the organizational structure offers the City a para- digm that enhances the delivery of quality work within the proposed schedule and budget.
