CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH 7 CALTRAN ENGINEERING/ GROUP J Traffic Impact Studies (TIS): Mr. Calderon has participated as a municipal reviewer in Cities such as Miami Beach including intergovernmental coordination for proportionate share projects and transportation mitigation issues as per the City's Concurrency Management System. Mr. Calderon acknowledges that TIS prepared by applicants and presented to the City need to be programmatic, depending if the application is reviewed by either a Planning Board, City Commission, or any of the numerous stakeholders in the process. A review of a TIS must have a quickly turn around. A latest project by Mr. Calderon regarding Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) is the Traffic Impact Study & Parking Analysis for Oxford Academy Expansion, Miami, FL (2011- 2012): This project included a traffic impact study for the proposed expansion of the Oxford Academy (The Children's First Pre - School). Additionally, a parking analysis and release traffic control plan for the academy. Contact: Oxford Academy, Mr. Gerard Samoor (786) 624 -8826 Traffic Calming Studies: Because of the unique environment of the City, traffic calming is in the interest of the residents because of the special conditions required and diverse Capital Improvement Programs that could be considerate. Mr. Calderon is also ready to work as an extension of City Staff and with the Neighborhood Associations to use the different Capital Improvements Programs and provide guidance for traffic calming projects that will enhance the quality of life of the City's residents. The selection of traffic calming measures will also be in accordance with the traffic flow modification(s) /Street closure(s) procedure from Miami -Dade County, ITE Traffic Manuals, FDOT Traffic Standards and the city ordinances. A latest project by Mr. Calderon regarding Traffic Calming Studies is the Miami -Dade County, Traffic Calming Project for Old Cutler Road, Two Roundabouts Analysis and Design (2009 to 2010): Mr. Calderon was responsible for the study and design of two major intersections along Old Cutler road based on future forecasted traffic data. Under this contract, capacity and simulation analysis were performed in SYNCHRO and VISSIM to determine the final geometry design alternative. In addition, final geometric design, pavement markings, and signing design were carried out in MicroStation XM, AutoCAD and Geopak following the FDOT roundabout design standard, AASHTO "Green Book", FDOT PPM, 2008 FDOT Design Standard, MUTCD, and other national and county policies.
