CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />7 <br />CALTRAN <br />ENGINEERING/ GROUP <br />J Traffic Impact Studies (TIS): Mr. Calderon has participated as a municipal reviewer in Cities such <br />as Miami Beach including intergovernmental coordination for proportionate share projects and <br />transportation mitigation issues as per the City's Concurrency Management System. Mr. Calderon <br />acknowledges that TIS prepared by applicants and presented to the City need to be programmatic, <br />depending if the application is reviewed by either a Planning Board, City Commission, or any of the <br />numerous stakeholders in the process. A review of a TIS must have a quickly turn around. <br />A latest project by Mr. Calderon regarding Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) is <br />the Traffic Impact Study & Parking Analysis for Oxford Academy <br />Expansion, Miami, FL (2011- 2012): This project included a traffic impact <br />study for the proposed expansion of the Oxford Academy (The Children's <br />First Pre - School). Additionally, a parking analysis and release traffic <br />control plan for the academy. Contact: Oxford Academy, Mr. Gerard <br />Samoor (786) 624 -8826 <br />Traffic Calming Studies: Because of the unique environment of the <br />City, traffic calming is in the interest of the residents because of the <br />special conditions required and diverse Capital Improvement Programs <br />that could be considerate. Mr. Calderon is also ready to work as an <br />extension of City Staff and with the Neighborhood Associations to use the <br />different Capital Improvements Programs and provide guidance for traffic <br />calming projects that will enhance the quality of life of the City's <br />residents. The selection of traffic calming measures will also be in <br />accordance with the traffic flow modification(s) /Street closure(s) <br />procedure from Miami -Dade County, ITE Traffic Manuals, FDOT Traffic <br />Standards and the city ordinances. <br />A latest project by Mr. Calderon regarding Traffic Calming Studies is the Miami -Dade County, Traffic <br />Calming Project for Old Cutler Road, Two Roundabouts Analysis and Design (2009 to 2010): <br />Mr. Calderon was responsible for the study and <br />design of two major intersections along Old <br />Cutler road based on future forecasted traffic <br />data. Under this contract, capacity and <br />simulation analysis were performed in <br />SYNCHRO and VISSIM to determine the final <br />geometry design alternative. In addition, final <br />geometric design, pavement markings, and <br />signing design were carried out in <br />MicroStation XM, AutoCAD and Geopak <br />following the FDOT roundabout design <br />standard, AASHTO "Green Book", FDOT <br />PPM, 2008 FDOT Design Standard, MUTCD, <br />and other national and county policies.
