i iu C�aI G. BATISTA & A OC ATES APPROACH METHODOLOGY 14@ Our Approach and methodology to performing our engineering tasks revolve around what we call the / �fthl "Method Sphere ". This is a STRATEGY methodology and approach that we are proud to have developed ourselves and is at the core of how we approach each project from inception through construction completion. What on the surface may look like a simple step -by -step procedure is actually a structured thought process where these steps actually overlap and work symbiotically to form a way of thinking which ultimately embodies our design philosophy as a whole. 4 Everything begins with the "Strategy" noted at the top of the sphere. This is where everything begins and where brainstorming takes place. Proper strategizing ensures that all the proper elements of the f design are incorporated from implementing sound engineering judgment to the owner's input. The strategizing also involves performing a charette, developing the methodology of design, use of personnel and resources, and a study of time constraints and budgets, among many others. Like an ecosystem, Buildings and Structures are complex environments with hundreds of related systems. In order to successfully design and build a project, regardless of size, this proposed ecosystem must be meticulously studied, planned, and designed to up front with the goal of minimizing problems at the back end. Using our multi- dimensional approach, our engineers and project managers are able to ensure engineering projects are delivered on time, within budget and meeting the owner's exact requirements. We achieve success for our clients as a result of our experience and proven methods for strategizing, designing, and ultimately providing a quality - controlled design.
