<br />monitor the contractor's on -site construction operations
<br />and materials. We will also test materials and review
<br />specifications and other contract documents to ensure
<br />quality workmanship and conformance to plans. All our
<br />inspectors are experienced, trained, and certified by the
<br />Florida Department of Transportation.
<br />LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE SERVICES
<br />The K &S Landscape Architecture Division is made up of
<br />a dynamic group of professionals who can provide a full
<br />range of high quality services from initial planning through
<br />to construction observation and final inspection. They have
<br />been providing consulting services to public sector clients
<br />for over 25 years.Thus, they are accustomed to managing
<br />multiple concurrent projects for public sector clients.Their
<br />recent portfolio includes City Halls, Public Works Facilities,
<br />municipal complexes,fire stations, parks (active and passive),
<br />streetscapes, community enhancements, traffic calming,
<br />beautification, roadway improvements, parking facilities
<br />analysis and design, ADA reviews and improvements,
<br />greenways, municipal buildings and facilities, ordinance
<br />review and writing, and signage.
<br />In the past five years alone, we have provided over eight
<br />municipalities /agencies (including the City of Boca Raton)
<br />with services ranging from preliminary studies, to site
<br />plan ning,irrigation design, site amenities design, planting plans,
<br />tree preservation plans, development review approvals, and
<br />permitting. Additionally, we have also provided landscape
<br />architectural services for over 30 parks and recreation
<br />projects and over 50 streetscape, traffic calming, and
<br />roadway landscape projects, with services ranging from
<br />master planning, to design development, construction
<br />documents, permitting, bidding, public outreach, and
<br />inspections. Our designs for those projects have included
<br />hardscape, irrigation, site amenities, planting, and street and
<br />pedestrian lighting.
<br />TRAFFIC PLANNING AND ENGINEERING
<br />SERVICES
<br />The K &S transportation planning team consists of a highly
<br />qualified team of professionals who have recent and on-
<br />going experience providing municipal and State clients with
<br />traffic engineering services, as well as a diverse history of
<br />private sector clients. We offer a thorough understanding
<br />of the latest industry practices and technologies. The team
<br />includes licensed professional engineers, with working
<br />relationships that extend over 20 years.
<br />K &S has considerable experience in providing traffic
<br />engineering review services for development petitions
<br />submitted to local and State agencies. These services include
<br />participating and presenting technical traffic engineering
<br />commentary during Development Review Committee
<br />(DRC) meetings; evaluating the transportation impacts
<br />associated with master plans, and site plans; preparing
<br />signal warrant studies, capacity and corridor analyses; and
<br />preparing and presenting safety studies, neighborhood traffic
<br />management studies, and traffic calming analyses. We have
<br />expertise in developing and reviewing transportation impact
<br />studies in support of future land use plan amendments,
<br />traffic concurrency evaluations, trafficway evaluations, and
<br />large -scale developments of regional impact. We also have
