Calvin Giordano &
Associates, Inc. (CGA) is providing engineering and surveying services for the project
within the Beach CRA area in Hollywood. The hotel complex consists of 225 condo/hotel
rooms, a restaurant, a spa, and a 226‐space parking garage.
The initial services involved surveying defined the base flood and Coastal Construction
Control Line adjacent to the property and also identified above and below ground
existing improvements.
CGA then prepared the civil engineering improvement plans for the hotel and garage.
This involved water and sanitary extensions to the City of Hollywood system connecting
within the FDOT AIA right‐of‐way. These utilities were permitted through the City,
Broward County, and FDOT. The stormwater runoff issues were dealt with through the
construction of Class V stormwater drainage wells. These wells were permitted through
Broward County Environmental and the Florida Department of Environmental
Protection (FDEP). Water Quality was provided in exfiltaration trenches.
Page 2| 18
