WADSWORTH, GC Project Manager SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS Joel Wadsworth is an accomplished strategic planner, leader, and construction/facility management specialist with more than 25 years of experience serving an instrumental role in the delivery of top quality, multimillion‐dollar real estate developments. He held positions as estimator/purchasing agent, assistant superintendent, superintendent, project manager and VP Director of Construction for Trafalgar Developers/Associates, Inc. a subsidiary of General Electric Company. He held similar high‐level positions with the HDC Group and International Sales Group assuming responsibilities and authority for the budgeting, contracting and construction management of a number of complex high‐end residential and commercial real estate developments. PROJECT EXPERIENCE Project Manager – Construction Services Division Calvin, Giordano, & Associates, Inc. Ft. Lauderdale, Florida: Capital Projects Manager – City of Sunny Isles Beach, FL: Key Construction Projects:  $14m Parking Garage & Park  $5.5m Ocean Fishing Pier  $3.5m Intracoastal Bridge Project Manager – City of Sunny Isles Beach: Heritage Park & Garage (May 2010 – June 2011). Project is a 380 space, cast‐in‐place concrete garage with decorative metal panel skin and accompanied by a 3‐acre City park. The Park amenities include a performance stage, commemorative wall and fountain, an interactive water feature with two children’s playground areas, an observation Pavilion, an expansive lawn area and lush landscaping. Work completed June 2011 at a cost of $14,000,000.00. Project Manager – City of Sunny Isles Beach: Town Center Skatepark (June 2010 – February 2011. Project is a 7500sf concrete park on a one‐acre parcel of an existing City park. This Design‐Build project consisted of coordinating the design team and the General Contractor to complete the cast‐in‐place complex concrete features incorporated in the state‐of‐the‐art facility designed for world‐class skateboard professionals. Challenges met include working a tight site with limited accessibility while maintaining safe access to the existing facilities. Work completed on schedule in February 2011 at a cost of $600,000.00. Project Manager – City of Sunny Isles Beach: Newport Fishing Pier & Restaurant: The City of Sunny Isles contracted CGA to provide engineering and government consulting services for the Sunny Isles Beach Newport Fishing Pier project. The City entered into a public‐private partnership to restore the Newport Fishing Pier, which was badly damaged during Hurricane Wilma in 2005. The Pier, which is the last remaining public pier in Miami‐Dade County, was built in 1936.The 800’ pier was designated as a historic site in 1982. The project involves project management services throughout the permitting, demolition and reconstruction phases of the project as well as Prime consultant duties involving the retention and management of Special Inspectors, Geotechnical Engineer of Record and Materials Testing Services. The project is set to be permitted by late October 2011 and will include a 105‐seat restaurant, 2nd story lifeguard office and fishing stations. The project is scheduled to commence construction in November 2011 with a completion date of June 2012.
