3. Grades are to be uniform. Grade areas which are rough and uneven. Fill in voids and holes with <br />planting soil or other approved material. <br />4. Mulch must be kept clear of valve boxes, water meter boxes and other irrigation components. <br />5. Mulch exceeding 2" that creates a caking or crusting situation shall be loosened prior to a fresh <br />application of mulch. <br />6. Date and schedule of mulch installation to be arranged through the City designee five (5) working days <br />in advance. <br />ATHLETIC FIELDS (in addition to specifications) <br />TURF MAINTENANCE FOR ATHLETIC FIELDS <br />Turf Care Work to be Performed: <br />Mowing Bermuda Turf Three times per week May through September. Twice per week October <br />through April. <br />Core Aerification and Top Dressing of Bermuda: <br />Twice a Year, the second week in May and the second week in August. <br />Shatter Tine Aerification of Bermuda: <br />Six times a year, the second week in January, the second week in March, the second week in April, the <br />second week in September the second week in October and the second week in December. <br />String Trimming of Bermuda: <br />Once every two weeks from April through October and one time per month from November through March. <br />Edging of Bermuda: <br />Once every two weeks from April through October and one time per month from November through March. <br />Blowing of Bermuda Turf: <br />Three times per week(once after each mowing), May through September, two times per week October <br />through April. <br />FERTILIZERS AND CHEMICALS FOR ATHLETIC FIELDS <br />Fertilization Work to be Performed: <br />We will apply fertilizer a minimum of twelve (12) times a year. We will provide at least 48 hours advance <br />written notice of the exact days and times fertilizer is to be applied. <br />Chemical Pest Control Work to be Performed: <br />IPM Service Each week on Monday <br />Furnish and Apply Insecticide for Fire Ants, Mole Crickets and Grubs. Twice a year, apply to entire athletic <br />field area (all baseball /softball and Bermuda turf rectangular fields), the first week of February and the first <br />week of August.
