Record idle hours for Police <br />units <br />Check horn & lights for operation. <br />*Repair as needed <br />Tires - Inspect for unusual wear or thread at <br />*Replace as needed. <br />or below 4/32nd of an inch <br />Rotate tires (if spare is new, rotate into <br />Part of PM <br />service) and inflate to manufacturers <br />recommendations <br />Parking and service brake <br />Inspect for proper operation and advise <br />accordingly. <br />Inspect coolant, brake, power steering, <br />Top off fluids and advise of any concerns. <br />transmission, rear axle, and washer fluid. <br />*Any Level 3 leak, fluid leaking on the ground <br />must be repaired. <br />Engine oil <br />Check oil level and condition prior to changing <br />it. Advise of any concerns. Next change oil <br />and filter. Fill to top of full line on di stick <br />Inspect wiper blade and washer pump <br />*Replace as needed. <br />Air Filter <br />*Replace as needed <br />Battery terminals <br />Service art of PM <br />Transmission fluid and fuel filter __*Replace <br />at 30,000 mile intervals <br />3.2 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Replacement Parts — Replacement parts should be New Original Equipment unless noted <br />otherwise or agreed upon for a specific repair or authorized by the Fleet Manager or designee. <br />Where an O.E. has multiple lines, the premium line should be used (Example: Motorcraft use <br />Super Duty, AC Delco use OE Service). <br />Exceptions <br />Motor Oil must be of premium grade and meet Ford Motor Company's specifications for <br />5W -20 or 5W -30 Synthetic Blend for gasoline engines and 15W 40 Super Duty for diesel <br />engines. Going forward, manufacturers may switch to a full synthetic. Provision for price <br />adjustments will be noted below. <br />Brakes on Ford Motor Company vehicles should be Motorcraft Super Duty when available <br />or Motorcraft.
