2.01 PIPE MATERIAL <br /> A. Ductile Iron Pipe: <br /> 1. Ductile iron pipe shall be centrifugally cast in metal or sand-lined molds <br /> and shall conform to ANSI/AVWVA C151, A21.51, most recent revision; <br /> pressure Class 350 shall be used. Flanged pipe shall be thickness Class <br /> 53. <br /> 2. Type of Joints <br /> a. Mechanical Joint —ANSI/AVVWA C110 A21.10 AND C111 A21.11. <br /> b. Flanged Joint—ANSI/AVWVA C110 A21.10 OR C115 A21.15. <br /> B. PVC Pipe: <br /> 1. Plastic pipe shall be rigid, unplasticized, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe and <br /> shall be in accordance with ASTM D-1784 and ASTM D-1785, ASTM <br /> 1120 or in conformance with AWWA C-900, Class 150 psi, and as <br /> manufactured by Celanese Piping Systems, Chemtrol Division,. Cabot <br /> Company., or approved equal. <br /> 2. The pipe shall be suitable for field cutting, welding, bending and coupling <br /> and shall be Schedule 80 unless otherwise shown on the drawings and of <br /> the sizes as shown on the Drawings. <br /> 3. All pipe shall be bundled or packaged in such a manner as to provide <br /> adequate protection for the ends, threaded, or flanged, during <br /> transportation from the manufacturer. <br /> 2.02 FITTINGS <br /> A. Ductile Iron Fittings: Fittings shall be as shown on the drawings and/or shall <br /> conform to the following. <br /> 1. Mechanical Joint Fittings — ANSI/AVVWA C153 A21.53 or ANSI/AVWVA <br /> C111 A21.11. <br /> 2. Push-On Pipe Fittings — Use mechanical joint fittings, ANSI/AWWA C153 <br /> A21.53 or ANSI/AWWA C110 A21.10. <br /> 3. Flanged Fillings —ANSI/AVVWA C110 A21.10. <br /> 4. Screwed Fittings—ANSI/AVWVA C110 A21.10. <br /> 5. Fittings shall be lined and coated in accordance with 2.018 Pipe Linings <br /> and Coatings. <br /> 6.
