Also, to provide the basic information that will facilitate a <br /> successful work relationship between the employee and the City and to comply with all <br /> pertinent federal, state, and city regulations and document compliance with same. <br /> DEFINITION: <br /> The orientation program are formal, and informal, presentations by the Human <br /> Resources! Financo Department and the Department that the employee is being hired <br /> into. <br /> SCOPE: <br /> All newly hired employees are required to attend a formal orientation. <br /> PROCEDURE: <br /> 1) New employees attend a formal orientation program, scheduled immediately <br /> following their employment, with the Human Resources Department/€inanee <br /> Department. The employee is advised of the general orientation date, time and <br /> place. The person conducting the orientation will use an orientation check sheet <br /> that will be sent to the department head for completion of their portion of the check <br /> sheet, and subsequently return it to the Human Resources Director. <br /> 2) Employees normally working an evening or night shift are scheduled as day <br /> employees in order to attend the orientation program. <br /> CODING: Words n are deletions,words underlined are additions. <br /> 205-1 New Employee Orientation Program Page 1 of 2 <br /> 51 <br />
