b) The elimination of the job or position. <br /> 3) Employees normally will not be considered eligible for severance pay if their <br /> employment is terminated because of: <br /> a) An employee-initiated voluntary resignation; <br /> b) Misconduct; <br /> c) A breach of an employment agreement; or <br /> d) A normal retirement, employee-initiated early retirement, voluntary <br /> acceptance of a City-initiated or FRS early retirement program, permanent <br /> disability, or death. <br /> 4) Eligible employees may be required to sign a release agreement in order to receive <br /> severance pay. If a release is required, an employee's refusal to sign it will result in <br /> a reduction or complete denial of severance pay. <br /> service except as described below.
