This program establishes the policies and <br /> procedures for participation in the Educational Reimbursement Program. <br /> SCOPE: <br /> This program is open to all full-time employees of the City, and any other employees <br /> deemed qualified, as may be designated by the City Manager. Employees are eligible to <br /> participate in this program upon successful completion of their Introductory/Probationary <br /> Period. <br /> PROCEDURE: <br /> 1) The City of Sunny Isles Beach will reimburse employees for educational <br /> development expenses provided: <br /> a) the courses are job-related; and <br /> b) the courses are pre-approved by the Department Head, the Human <br /> Resources Director, and the City Manager; and <br /> c) the Employee receives a grade of"B" or better. <br /> 2) Employees will be eligible to receive reimbursement of up to Fifteen Hundred <br /> Dollars ($1,500.00), per fiscal year, for the cost of tuition, books, materials, <br /> supplies and activity fees.
