Informational Touchscreen Kiosks and Software Services
--i n c.
RFP#17-04-01 v America
BACKGROUND
The City of Sunny Isles Beach is requesting a company to furnish, install and maintain (two) 2
interactive touchscreen kiosks including software implementation and license, configuration,
maintenance, training and professional services support at various locations on City property.
The objective of this project is to provide residents and visitors with an enhanced experience of
the City by providing information about current and upcoming events, park locations, city shuttle
service,county bus service,wayfinding directions, beach conditions,weather,traffic,date,time and
any other additional City facts that enlightens the user stay in Sunny Isles Beach.
For the City to continue to satisfy current residents and visitors alike, the City wishes to provide a
more experiential option for those people. CHK America is uniquely qualified to design the UX for
the City. Like the reputation enjoyed by Sunny Isles Beach, CHK is recognized by the wayfinding
411 and transit industry's most respected transit agencies to be the premier provider of interactive
interfaces. The interface is essentially an exercise in wayfinding. That is providing the user with
the information that they need or want in a clean, understandable, logical manner. Technology is
how we deliver the information but technology is not the answer. The User Interface design will
determine the success of the City's mission. Our philosophy is to put ourselves in the position of a
new user looking to make sense of a large quantity of information in a city that might be unfamiliar
to them. This philosophy has helped us to successfully design and produce award-winning UX and
wayfinding strategies for the most successful and high tourist attraction cities in the world including
Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Dallas, and Santa Barbara.
May 9, 2017 Confidential page 4 of 32
