<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Proposal No. 12-05-01 34A <br /> <br />The supplying and placing of this item is separate and unique from the normal need to <br />supply and place this material as part of the ongoing operations covered in other <br />proposal items. For this item to be accepted and paid for by the City, the service must <br />be specifically requested by the City for a unique and specific task. <br /> <br />Fertilizer and materials shall be delivered in original, unopened, and undamaged <br />containers showing weight, analysis, and name of manufacturer. All fertilizer materials <br />shall be stored in manner to prevent wetting and deterioration. <br /> <br />3.10.4.1 TOPSOIL <br /> <br />D1. This proposal item is to include the supplying, delivery, <br />placement, and grading of topsoil in the locations designated by <br />the City. This topsoil shall be a mix of 70% organics (peat moss, <br />etc.) and 30% sand. <br /> <br />3.10.4.2 PREMIUM RED COLORED MULCH <br /> <br />D2-D3 This proposal item is to include the supplying, delivery, <br />placement, and grading of certified arsenic free Premium Red <br />colored mulch in the locations designated by the City. <br /> <br />3.10.4.2.1 SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br /> <br />Certified arsenic free Premium ‘Red’ (provide evidence of <br />type and grade of mulch, to City, prior to delivery, for <br />approval by City’s’ Landscape Architect). Mulch shall be <br />placed around all planting areas not covered by shrubs, <br />ground cover, or existing mulch (two times per year, or <br />as directed by City), so as to effect a 2.5” mulch depth. <br />Mulch shall be installed so as to not be within 3” of base <br />of plant material. Contractor will provide and install all <br />required mulch at the contract unit prices. <br /> <br /> 3.10.4.3 TRAP SAND <br /> <br />D4 This proposal item is to include the supplying, delivery, <br />placement, and grading of #70 Trap Sand in the locations <br />designated by the City. <br /> <br /> 3.10.4.4 SILICA SAND <br /> <br />D5. This proposal item is to include the supplying, delivery, <br />placement, and grading of Silica Sand in the locations designated <br />by the City. <br />
