The City accepts no liability for any loss of materials, by <br />theft or otherwise, or for any damage to the stored materials. The site directly abuts a <br />residential community, and as such should be maintained in a clean and orderly manner <br />throughout the entire length of work under this Contract. Contractor shall not dispose <br />of materials of any character, rubbish or equipment, on abutting property or public <br />right-of-way, with or without the consent of the property owners. <br /> <br /> <br />4. Section 2.21 states that the proposer shall obtain and pay for all licenses, permits and inspection <br />fees required for this project. <br />a. It is not clear as to who will be responsible for the cost associated with densities. <br />b. If the proposer is responsible please provide information as to how many densities will <br />be required by the City for sidewalk and footers/wall. <br /> <br />Response: <br />a. All fees associated with this project, including but not limited to densities shall be the <br />sole responsibility of the contractor. Proposer shall also be aware that the execution of <br />a Certified Maintenance of Traffic Plan (MOT) may require off-duty City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach Police Officer(s) and FDOT Certified Flagman/Flagmen, the cost of which will be <br />the sole responsibility of the successful Proposer. <br /> <br />b. The contractor will be required to submit certified copies of density tests prior to <br />concrete/paver placement. All testing shall be completed and meet minimum density <br />requirements on each lift prior to additional backfilling. Horizontal distribution of density <br />testing shall be as follows <br />Subgrade: Tests shall be performed at randomly selected locations within each <br />200-ft interval (max) along the length of the sidewalk for each lift of fill (12” <br />max). <br /> <br />Base: Tests shall be performed at randomly selected locations within each 200- <br />ft interval (max) along the length of the sidewalk for each lift of fill (12” max). <br /> <br />Contractors shall also be required to submit copies of batch tickets for 3000 PSI concrete <br />batch samples. <br /> <br /> <br />5. Section 3.1 paragraph 2 speaks of the removal and reinstallation of existing trash receptacles, <br />bus shelters, and other existing elements. <br />a. Will the City be temporarily storing these elements when removed to perform the <br />improvements? <br />b. It was observed that some of these existing elements are rusting and have some existing <br />damage.
