Request for Clarification No. 2 <br />ARLEN HOUSE RIGHT-OF-WAY IMPROVEMENT <br />CITY RFP NO. 14-04-01 <br /> <br /> <br />26. Is there any waterproofing required on the concrete stem wall ST-02 where the grades are <br />different elevation? This will prevent moisture transmission through the wall and creating <br />mildew. <br /> <br />Response: <br />At all vertical poured and CMU/retaining walls that are below grade, provide minimum 150 <br />mils thick bentonite (or approved equal) dual sheet waterproofing membrane. <br /> <br /> <br />27. Sheet LM-01 the Hardscape Finish Schedule refers to the pavers being 8” x 8” x 80 mm are not <br />available. The previous walkways were done with 60mm pavers. Please advise if we can use <br />60mm pavers on top of the concrete sub slab. <br /> <br />Response: <br />Yes. 60mm pavers may be utilized. <br /> <br /> <br />28. On sheet EE-01 please clarify the power source for the gate openers? How far is the panel & <br />what type? <br /> <br />Response: <br />The gate power source is located inside the Arlen House condo building, approximately 400 ft <br />from the gates. The panel type is unknown. The successful bidder will need to coordinate <br />further with the Arlen House. <br /> <br />END OF SECTION <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />
