Request for Clarification No. 2 <br />ARLEN HOUSE RIGHT-OF-WAY IMPROVEMENT <br />CITY RFP NO. 14-04-01 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />23. Will we need to provide the final survey of the easement for FDOT requirements? <br /> <br />Response: <br />Yes. A final survey of the easement will be required. <br /> <br /> <br />24. Can you provide a list of materials to be included with the gates being provided, i.e. openers, <br />tracks, detection devices, and loop/card key sensor? <br /> <br />Response: <br />The following items will be furnished and installed by the gate manufacturer: <br />i. Two (2) decorative aluminum sliding gates (9’ L x 8’ H) including mounting posts, <br />guide roller, gate wheels and a V-groove gate track <br />ii. One (1) decorative aluminum pedestrian gate (40” W x 8’H) including mounting <br />posts, self-closing hinges and door handles <br />iii. Gate operators including loops, battery backup units and radio receiver <br />iv. Wire terminations at each gate operator <br />v. Concrete pad for gate operator <br />vi. Concrete foundation for each gate track <br />vii. Wire terminations at breaker panels <br /> <br />Under this RFP, the successful contractor will be responsible for the following with regards to <br />the gate systems: <br />i. Installation and/or rerouting of conduits and wiring for the necessary high <br />voltage power to each gate operator. <br /> <br /> <br />25. The Proposal/Bid Docs require all underground utility work within the right-of-way to be <br />installed using directional bore. Please clarify in which line item this cost should be allocated <br />per utility or please provide a separate line item per utility. <br /> <br />Response: Directional bore within the right-of-way should be allocated as follows: <br />i. Electrical: Bid item # 27 - Furnish and install all equipment, materials and labor <br />necessary to connect proposed and existing electrical components to existing Load <br />Center on the north side of Bayview Drive. <br /> <br />ii. Irrigation: Bid item # 79A - Furnish and install all equipment, materials and labor <br />necessary to connect proposed and existing irrigation components to existing <br />irrigation backflow preventer on the north side of Bayview Drive. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />
