3. Review, acceptance of substitutions, schedules, shop drawings, lists of <br />materials, and procedures submitted or requested by the CONTRACTOR <br />shall not add to the contract amount and additional costs which may result <br />therefrom shall be solely the obligation of the CONTRACTOR. <br /> <br />4. The OWNER is not precluded, by virtue of review, acceptance, or approval <br />from obtaining a credit for construction savings resulting from allowed <br />concessions in the work or supply of equipment and materials. <br /> <br />5. The OWNER shall have no responsibility for the provision of engineering or <br />other services to protect the CONTRACTOR from additional costs accruing <br />from approvals or submittals. <br /> <br />6. No equipment or material for which listings, drawings, or descriptive material <br />is required shall be purchased, fabricated, or installed until the ENGINEER <br />has, on hand, copies of approved lists, and the appropriately stamped final <br />shop drawings. <br /> <br />7. Submittals will be acted upon by the ENGINEER as promptly as possible <br />and returned to the CONTRACTOR not later than the time allowed for <br />review in the Shop Drawing Submittal Procedure. <br /> <br />8. Delays caused by the need for resubmittals shall not constitute reason for <br />extension of the contract time. <br /> <br />3.04 SHOP DRAWING SUBMITTAL PROCEDURE <br /> <br />A. The Contract Documents outlines general guidelines regarding submittal and <br />approval of shop drawings. <br /> <br />1. This section is intended to furnish details of the contents, identification, and <br />final record requirements of shop drawings. <br /> <br />B. Shop Drawing Requirements <br /> <br />1. Shop drawings as referred to herein, shall include shop drawings and other <br />submittals for both shop and field-fabricated items. <br /> <br />2. Submit, as applicable, the following for prefabricated or manufactured <br />structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and materials: <br /> <br />a. Shop drawings or Equipment drawings including dimensions, size and <br />location of connections and weight of equipment. <br /> <br />b.
