If the specifications, the LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT’s and/or ENGINEER's <br />instructions, laws, ordinances, or public authority require work to be specially <br />tested or approved, give timely notice of its readiness for inspection. <br /> <br />1. Inspections to be conducted by the ENGINEER and/or LANDSCAPE <br />ARCHITECT will be made promptly and where practicable, at the source of <br />supply. <br /> <br />2. If work should be covered up without approval or consent of the ENGINEER, <br />it shall if required by the ENGINEER, be uncovered for examination at the <br />CONTRACTOR's expense. <br /> <br />3. Reexamination of questioned work may be ordered by the ENGINEER and <br />LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT, and if so ordered, the work shall be uncovered <br />by the CONTRACTOR. If this work is found not to be in accordance with the <br />Contract Documents, correct the defective work and the cost of <br />reexamination and correction of the defective work shall be paid by the <br />CONTRACTOR. <br /> <br /> <br />D. When the CONTRACTOR's work requires inspection or test, notify the <br />ENGINEER / LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT twenty-four (24) hours in advance <br />of required tests or inspections. <br /> <br />1. Cooperate with the testing laboratory's representatives by giving ample <br />notice of time, location and extent of work to be inspected or tested, by <br />performing concrete slump tests, preparing concrete and other samples as <br />instructed and by providing necessary facilities at the project site or in the <br />shop for the testing agency. <br /> <br />3.02 TESTS <br /> <br />A. Furnish, without extra charge, the necessary test pieces and samples, including <br />facilities and labor for obtaining the same, as requested by the ENGINEER. <br /> <br />1. When required, Furnish certificates of tests of materials and equipment <br />made at the point of manufacture by a recognized testing laboratory. <br /> <br />B. Give the ENGINEER ample advance notice of appropriate times for tests. <br /> <br />1. Specified tests will be approved and supervised by the ENGINEER. <br /> <br />2. When specific inspections or tests are required, the work involved shall not <br />proceed beyond that point until the ENGINEER has made or waived <br />inspections or tests. <br /> <br />
