SECTION 01660 <br /> <br />PRODUCT STORAGE AND HANDLING REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br /> <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br /> <br />A. STORAGE <br /> <br />1. Store equipment and materials at the jobsite in accordance with the <br />manufacturer’s recommendations and directed by the OWNER. <br /> <br />2. Do not store unnecessary materials or equipment on the jobsite. <br /> <br />3. Prevent any structure from being overloaded and endanger the safety of his <br />personnel or others. <br /> <br />4. Enforce the instructions of the OWNER and ENGINEER regarding the <br />posting of regulatory signs for loadings on structures, fire safety and <br />smoking area. <br /> <br />B. HANDLING AND MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />1. Follow manufacturer’s storage instructions or approved written deviations. <br /> <br />a. Forward a copy of manufacturer’s approved written deviations to the <br />ENGINEER. <br /> <br />2. Equipment with moving parts shall be rotated per the manufacturer’s <br />recommendations while in storage and during the period between <br />installation and acceptance. <br /> <br />3. Equipment shall be stored fully lubricated unless otherwise instructed by the <br />manufacturer. <br /> <br />4. Lubricants shall be changed upon completion of installation and as <br />frequently as required thereafter during the period between installation and <br />acceptance. <br /> <br />5. New lubricants shall be put into the equipment at the time of acceptance. <br /> <br />6.
