SECTION 01741 <br /> <br />FINAL CLEANING <br /> <br /> <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br /> <br />A. The CONTRACTOR shall provide equipment, tools, materials, and labor <br />required to maintain the project site in a clean and orderly manner throughout <br />the duration of construction and for final cleaning and touch up at end of <br />construction. This work shall include but not be limited to, sweeping, brushing, <br />dust control, washing, waxing and polishing, debris removal, removal of excess <br />materials, tools, equipment and scaffolding and final cleaning of installed work. <br /> <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. Cleaning materials and equipment used shall be selected and employed with <br />care to avoid scratching, marring, defacing, staining, or discoloring the surfaces <br />cleaned. Cleaning materials shall be as recommended by the manufacturer of <br />products and materials being cleaning. <br /> <br />PART 3 EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 CLEAN-UP DURING CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />A. Clean-up shall be performed as required to prevent accidents to personnel, <br />protect work in place, and to affect the progress of the work in a timely and <br />orderly manner. <br /> <br />B. Construction clean-up shall consists of, but not be limited to, the removal of <br />mud, oil, grease, sand, gravel, dirt, trash, scrap, debris, and excess materials <br />from the work site on a continuous basis. Small scrap and debris may be <br />collected in containers and large materials may be stockpiled in an area to be <br />removed from the site periodically at the Contractor’s cost. <br /> <br />C. Immediately prior to the Contractors request for final inspection of the project or <br />portion thereof, final cleanup shall be performed. Pavement damaged shall be <br />repaired in a manner approved by the Engineer.
