SECTION 02315 <br /> <br />EXCAVATION AND FILL <br /> <br /> <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br /> <br />A. Furnish labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to perform <br />excavation, backfill, fill, grading, and slope protection required to complete the <br />piping work shown in the Drawings and Specifications. <br /> <br />B The work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to: manholes, pits and <br />pipe, bedding, backfilling, fill and required borrow; grading and disposal of <br />surplus and unsuitable materials; and related work such as sheeting, bracing, <br />and water handling. <br /> <br />C. Provide trench safety systems such as sheeting and bracing in accordance with <br />state and local regulations. <br /> <br />D. No claims for additional monies will be allowed or considered based on <br />substrata or ground water conditions. <br /> <br />E. Prior to commencing the excavation, submit a plan of CONTRACTOR’s <br />proposed operations to the ENGINEER for review. <br /> <br />1.02 RELATED SECTIONS <br /> <br />A.
