PART 3 EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 GRADING AND COMPACTION <br /> <br />A. Place fill material in lifts not to exceed 12-inches and compacted to a density of <br />not less than 95 percent of maximum dry density at optimum moisture as <br />determined by ASTM D1557 method D. <br /> <br />B. Place fill material with a moisture content within plus or minus 2 percentage <br />points of optimum. <br /> <br />3.02 FINE GRADING <br /> <br />A. Fine grade disturbed areas after structures, bases, and pavements are <br />completed and the yard piping trenches backfilled. <br /> <br />B. Remove lumber, undesirable materials and rocks larger than the 3-inch size <br />from the surface. <br /> <br />C. Shaped and sloped the completed surface to drain away from the structures. <br /> <br />D. Completed surface elevations shall be within 0.1 foot of the elevation shown in <br />the Drawings, unless directed by the ENGINEER. <br /> <br />E.
