3. Cooperate with OWNER and utility companies in keeping respective <br />services and facilities in operation. <br /> <br />4. Demolish and completely remove from site existing underground utilities <br />indicated in the Drawings to be removed. <br /> <br />D. Protection of Persons and Property: Barricade open excavations occurring as <br />part of this work and post with warning lights. <br /> <br />1. Operate warning lights as recommended by authorities having jurisdiction. <br /> <br />E. Protect structures, utilities, sidewalks, pavements, and other facilities from <br />damage caused by settlement, lateral movement, undermining, washout, and <br />other hazards created by earthwork operations. <br /> <br />1.06 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Furnish the ENGINEER, for approval, laboratory test report of a representative <br />sample of fill material obtained from on site sources weighing approximately 50 <br />pounds, at least ten calendar days prior to the date of anticipated use of this <br />material. <br /> <br />B. For each material obtained from other than on site sources, notify the <br />ENGINEER of the source of the material and shall furnish the ENGINEER, for <br />approval, laboratory test reports of a representative sample weighing <br />approximately 50 pounds, at least ten calendar days prior to the date of <br />anticipated use of this material. <br /> <br /> <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. Description: <br /> <br />1. Materials for use as base, fill and backfill shall be described below: <br /> <br />a. Satisfactory soil materials are defined as those complying with American <br />Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) M- <br />145, soil classification Groups A-1, A-2-4, a-2-5, and a-3. <br /> <br />b.
