Where hydrated lime is used for mortar requiring a lime content, the <br />CONTRACTOR will have the option of using the dry-mix method for first <br />converting the hydrated lime into a putty. <br /> <br />3. Where the dry-mix method is employed, the materials for each batch shall <br />be well turned over together until the even color of the mixed, dry materials <br />indicates that the cementitious materials has been thoroughly distributed <br />throughout the mass, after which the water shall be gradually added until a <br />thoroughly mixed mortar. <br /> <br />3.03 CLEANING <br /> <br />A.
