SECTION 04220 <br /> <br />CONCRETE MASONRY UNITS <br /> <br /> <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br /> <br />A. Provide materials, equipment, and labor required to complete the concrete masonry <br />work in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. <br /> <br />B. Coordinate work with that of other trades. <br /> <br />1.02 STORAGE <br /> <br />A. Store materials under cover, in dry place, and in a manner to prevent damage or <br />straining. <br /> <br />B. Deliver blocks to site dry in compliance with specification limitation for moisture and <br />kept dry by storing off ground and under cover. <br /> <br />C. Remove blocks from site, that have become wet. <br /> <br />1.03 CERTIFICATION <br /> <br />A. Furnish certificates from manufacturer in triplicate prior to delivery of concrete <br />masonry units to the job site. <br /> <br />1. Include on each certificate signature of an authorized officer of the <br />manufacturing company, CONTRACTOR’s name and address, project location, <br />quantities, and date of shipment. <br /> <br />2. Certify units for compliance with these Specifications. <br /> <br />1.04 SAMPLES <br /> <br />A. Submit to the OWNER for approval in accordance with the Special Conditions, two <br />(2) samples each of proposed masonry units, reinforcements, ties, control joint <br />material and fillers. <br /> <br />B.
