a. Incoming polyethylene materials shall be inspected for density, melt flow <br />rate, and contamination. <br /> <br />b. The cell classification properties of the material shall be certified by the <br />supplier. <br /> <br />c. Incoming materials shall be approved by Quality Control before <br />processing into finished goods. <br /> <br />d. Outgoing products shall be tested as required in AWWA C901 or C906. <br /> <br />2. The Manufacturer shall maintain permanent Quality Control (QC) and <br />Quality Assurance (QA) records. <br /> <br />a. Certification or copy of these records shall be made available to the <br />purchaser on request. <br /> <br />2.06 SLEEVE TYPE COUPLINGS <br /> <br />A. Sleeve couplings shall be Style 38 for either steel, or ductile iron pipe as <br />manufactured by Dresser Manufacturing Division or equivalent models by Smith <br />Blair, Rockwell Industries or equal. <br /> <br />1. Sleeve couplings shall be Style 62 for joining steel pipes to ductile iron pipe <br />as manufactured by Dresser or equivalent models by Smith Blair, Rockwell <br />Industries or equal. <br /> <br />2. Applications with stainless steel pipe shall be fabricated of type 316 stainless <br />steel for components except the gaskets. <br /> <br />3. Gasket material shall be compatible with the service application especially <br />with respect to temperature requirements and chemical compatibility. <br /> <br />B. The interior of the middle ring shall be painted with two coats of asphaltic <br />coating suitable for the service intended. <br /> <br />1. The middle ring shall not have a pipe stop. <br /> <br />2.07 GROOVED COUPLINGS <br /> <br />A. Grooved couplings shall be in accordance with AWWA C606. <br /> <br />B. For ductile iron pipe with nominal pipe sizes ranging from three (3) inches to <br />twenty-four (24) inches, groove couplings shall be style 31 by Victualic, or equal. <br /> <br />1.
