SECTION 01140 <br /> <br />WORK RESTRICTIONS <br /> <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br /> <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br /> <br />A. Work under this contract shall not reduce utility services provided to the <br />residents of the City of Sunny Isles Beach nor dramatically impact the <br />vehicular traffic in the area of this project. <br /> <br />B. Submit to the OWNER and ENGINEER a construction schedule explaining shut <br />down procedures in detail. <br /> <br />1. Submit written notification 48 hours in advance of requested shut down. <br /> <br />1.02 CONNECTION TO EXISTING SYSTEMS <br /> <br />A. Connections to existing systems shall be performed with no damage and no <br />interruption to the existing installation. <br /> <br />1. Damage caused to existing installations shall be repaired or replaced by the <br />CONTRACTOR at no additional cost to the OWNER. <br /> <br />B. CONTRACTOR must contain and properly dispose of wastewater and sludge <br />drained from existing pipelines and structures during construction. <br /> <br />1.03 COORDINATION WITH UTILITY PERSONNEL <br /> <br />A. Before commencing work involving removing or placing in operation existing or <br />new facilities, notify the OWNER at least twenty (20) days in advance in writing. <br /> <br />1. The OWNER shall be responsible for removing facilities from operation. <br /> <br />1.04 PROTECTION OF PROPERTY <br /> <br />A. Protect property that may be affected by construction work or operations. <br /> <br />1. The location and extent of underground and covered facilities are not <br />guaranteed. <br /> <br />2. Proceed with care in order to prevent the undermining or damage to existing <br />structures, piping, or facilities. <br /> <br />B.
