1. Protective measures shall be furnished, installed, lighted, maintained, and <br />removed at the CONTRACTOR’s own cost. <br /> <br />C. When potable water is being used, the supply source shall be protected against <br />contamination in accordance with existing codes and regulations. <br /> <br />D. Repair property damaged during construction. <br /> <br />1.05 WEATHER CONDITIONS <br /> <br />A. Work that may be affected by inclement weather shall be suspended until <br />proper conditions prevail. <br /> <br />1. In the event of impeding storms, take necessary precautions to protect work, <br />materials and equipment from exposure. <br /> <br />2. The OWNER reserves the right, through the opinion of the ENGINEER, to <br />order that additional protection measures over and beyond those proposed <br />by the CONTRACTOR, be taken to safeguard components of the project. <br /> <br />3. Do not claim compensation for precautionary measures so ordered, nor <br />claim compensation from the OWNER for damage to the work from the <br />elements of weather. <br /> <br />B. Provide, at the pre-construction meeting, a hurricane preparedness plan <br />to be enacted in the event of hurricane conditions during construction. <br /> <br />1.06 FIRE PROTECTION <br /> <br />A. Prevent fires at or adjacent to the Work. <br /> <br />B. Provide adequate fire extinguishers and hose line stations. <br /> <br />1.07 SAFETY AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />A. Comply with Federal, State, and Local safety and health regulations. <br /> <br />B. Provide barricades and flashing lights or other devices to warn pedestrians and <br />area traffic. <br /> <br />C.
