2. It is in the CONTRACTOR’s interest that the pre-construction survey be as <br />inclusive as possible, to protect the CONTRACTOR and the OWNER from <br />spurious claims of private and public property damaged by the <br />CONTRACTOR’s operations. <br /> <br />3. It is the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR to take all precautions to protect <br />existing conditions from the dynamic affect of construction vibrations. In <br />cases where pile driving activities are within close proximity of existing <br />structures, the use of vibration measurements may become necessary. <br /> <br />4. No construction shall begin prior to review of the pre-construction survey <br />covering the construction area by the ENGINEER. <br /> <br />5. The ENGINEER shall have the authority to reject any documentation not <br />conforming to the specifications and order that it be redone at no additional <br />charge. <br /> <br />6. Reschedule unacceptable coverage within five (5) days after being notified. <br /> <br />7. The ENGINEER shall designate those areas, if any, to be omitted from or <br />added to the pre-construction survey coverage. <br /> <br />8. All pre-construction survey documentation shall not be made more than <br />thirty (30) days prior to construction in any area. <br /> <br />9.
