1.05 VIDEO REQUIRED <br /> <br />A. Prior to work commencement, provide continuous color audio-video tape <br />recording taken along the entire length of the individual project work sites to <br />serve as a record of pre-construction conditions. <br /> <br />1. The purpose of creating this record is to be able to fairly establish the <br />prework condition that the CONTRACTOR must protect or restore after the <br />facilities are installed. <br /> <br />2. It is in the CONTRACTOR’s interest that this record be as inclusive as <br />possible, to protect the CONTRACTOR and the OWNER from spurious <br />claims of private and public property damaged by the CONTRACTOR’s <br />operations. <br /> <br />3. No construction shall begin prior to review and approval of the tapes <br />covering the construction area by the ENGINEER. <br /> <br />4. The ENGINEER shall have the authority to reject video tape not conforming <br />to the specifications and order that it be redone at no additional charge. <br /> <br />5. Reschedule unacceptable coverage within five (5) days after being notified. <br /> <br />6. The ENGINEER shall designate those areas, if any, to be omitted from or <br />added to the audio-video coverage. <br /> <br />7. Tape recordings shall not be made more than thirty (30) days prior to <br />construction in any area. <br /> <br />8. Tapes and written records shall become the property of the OWNER. <br /> <br /> <br />1.06 PRE-CONSTRUCTION SURVEY REQUIRED <br /> <br />A. Prior to work commencement, provide a detailed pre-construction survey that <br />includes a thorough inspection The survey must include existing structural <br />documentation (i.e. color audio-video tape recording, photographs and <br />measurements) taken within the interior and exterior of all structures located <br />along the entire length of the individual project work sites to serve as a record of <br />pre-construction conditions. <br /> <br />1.
