<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach | Invitation to Bid No. 17‐05‐01 29 <br /> <br />2.25 ACCESS TO WATER AND UTILITIES <br /> <br /> The Contractor is responsible for providing all water and power required for the performance of <br />the Work, including the use of a generators, fuel, etc. The use of a generator may be subject to <br />the prior approval of the Project Manager(s) and may be withheld when the Work is in a primarily <br />residential neighborhood. Electrical power required during construction must be installed by a <br />qualified electrical contractor approved by the Project Manager(s). <br /> <br /> Contractor will be responsible to provide all of its employee’s sufficient access to drinking water at <br />the Site(s). <br /> <br /> The City may at its sole discretion provide access to City utilities or water should such be available <br />at the Work site. However, the Contractor is responsible to ascertain the location and accessibility <br />of any utilities and potable water sources necessary to perform the Work. The ability of the City <br />to make utilities available to the Contractor must not form any basis for a change order or claim <br />by the Contractor. <br /> <br />2.26 COORDINATION OF THE WORK <br /> <br />Prior to the commencement of the Work under the Contract, the Project Manager(s) will make <br />every effort, based on available information, to notify the Contractor of any ongoing or scheduled <br />project(s) that will be ongoing or commence during the Work on a Project that may require <br />coordination. The Contractor will be solely responsible for coordinating the Work with any other <br />project(s) to minimize any potential adverse impact. Contractor will not be entitled to any days of <br />delay for failure to properly coordinate the Work. The Project Manager(s) may assist the Contractor <br />in coordinating the Work. However, any such assistance, or lack thereof will not form the basis for <br />any claim for delay or increased cost. <br /> <br />If any part of Contractor’s Work depends upon proper execution or results from the work of any <br />other persons, Contractor must inspect and promptly report to Project Manager(s) any defects in <br />such work that render it unsuitable for such execution and results. Contractor’s failure to so inspect <br />and report will constitute an acceptance of the other person’s work as fit and proper for the <br />reception of Contractor’s Work, except as to defects which may develop in other contractor’s work <br />after the execution of contractor’s Work. Contractor must conduct its operations and take all <br />reasonable steps to coordinate the prosecution of the Work so as to create no interference or <br />impact on any other contractor on the site. Should such interference or impact occur, Contractor <br />will be liable to the affected contractor for the cost of such interference or impact. <br /> <br />2.27 ACCESS TO THE PROJECT SITE(S) <br /> <br />City will provide the lands upon which the Work is the be performed, rights-of-way and easements <br />for access thereto and such other lands as are designated by City for use of Contractor. <br /> <br />
