<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Qualifications No. 17-12-01 25 <br /> <br />M. Project close-out <br />N. Construction management <br /> <br />G. ADDITIONAL SERVICES: <br /> <br />1. For each phase, consultant agrees to furnish and provide the City five (5) full-size copies of all plans, <br />(two sets must be signed and sealed by architect’s sub -consultant) specifications, drawings, and other <br />documents and electronic versions of same in format prepared by the firm. <br /> <br />2. Hurricane Response: A representative from the awardee shall communicate via telephone, or report in <br />person (if telephone service is down) as soon as possible after any severe weather activity, including tropical <br />storms, or hurricanes in order to evaluate and delineate a plan to mitigate and repair damages. <br /> <br />3.3 ESTIMATE PROJECT CONSTRUCTION COST <br /> <br />The City’s Construction Budget is the amount budgeted for the construction award of the Project, including <br />connections to utilities but is exclusive of cost of land, change order contingencies, movable furnishings <br />and equipment, and professional fees. For this Project, the firm must provide an estimate with their <br />proposal. Since the architect does not have control over the cost of labor and materials, or over competitive <br />bidding and market conditions, the estimates of construction cost provided for herein are to be m ade on <br />the basis of the architect experience and qualifications, but the architect does not guarantee the accuracy <br />of its estimates of probable cost as compared to the Construction Manager's (or Consultant's) bids. <br /> <br />By fifty (50%) percent completion of the Construction Documents Phase, the architect shall resolve with <br />the City and the Construction Manager (Consultant) any apparent discrepancy between its Estimates of <br />Probable Project Construction Cost and the scope and requirements of the City. The architect will be <br />permitted to include acceptable alternates in the Contract Documents for the purpose of providing a finished <br />and acceptable facility within the City’s Construction Budget. <br /> <br />3.4 REQUIREMENTS OF THE CONSULTANTS <br /> <br />Qualification submittals will be considered from qualified firms whose experience includes successful work <br />in similar projects. Also, the firm must have a sufficient number of qualified staff in the applicable disciplines <br />to complete the work in the time required and in accordance with State of Florida statutes and standards, <br />if applicable. <br /> <br />The selected firm(s) will be responsible for reviewing existing Miami -Dade County, City of Sunny <br />Isles Beach Codes, Resolutions and Ordinances and State of Florida Building Codes and for incorporating <br />data into complete construction documents including final construction plans (working drawings), technical <br />specifications, construction estimates, and related bid documents necessary for the bidding and <br />construction of the projects. <br /> <br />The selected firm(s) will be responsible for obtaining all Federal, State and local permits and / or approvals <br />from Miami-Dade Water and Sewer, DERM, Florida Department of Environmental Protection as necessary <br />and all City of City of Sunny Isles Beach Building permits necessary for the construction of the projects.
