APPROACH/METHODOLOGY I Q
APPROACH/METHODOLOGY
Proposers approach methodology to providing the services requested in this solicitation.
Suitability of the methologies and approaches used in achieving tasks
RDC utilizes Microsoft's Project and Primavera's Surtrak Project Manager 2.0 for its construction scheduling
software. All Project Managers are well versed in the use of this tool. Our schedules are updated on a
bi-monthly basis unless the project warrants more frequency; then we will update the schedule to keep the
project on track. This requires us to schedule and track the project's critical path and assist in foreseeing
' potential delays.
A detailed project schedule utilizing the Critical Path Method (CPM) will be generated from the first day
of the project, which will identify all milestones and key events of each project. Each project schedule will
detail major activities for the different phases till final completion, owner occupancy and project closeout.
RDC utilizes Microsoft's Project to properly schedule the shop drawing process. By doing this, we make sure
the review of shop drawings can occur without impacting the project's critical path. The approval of the
artificial turf will be the critical path of the shop drawing process. The scheduling program is integrated
with the Meridian Project Systems "Prolog" project management software program to track shop-drawings,
® RFI's and any ASI's pertaining to a specific project.
Shop drawings are obtained from the various subcontractors and/or vendors, processed into "Prolog",
reviewed in-house, transmitted to the applicable architect and/or engineer for their review approval,
returned to RDC and then submitted as required to agencies having jurisdiction (i.e. Building Department,
etc.). Once the shop drawings are approved then the scheduling program is updated, always keeping in
mind the project's critical path.
Overall organization to completing the - - —
project / a
Procurement, approval and delivery of
—
the artificial turf is the key component .-. i#` \-` `,.-
for completing both parks.
