1 <br /> 1 <br /> Ballard Sports PROJECT , i <br /> APPROACH <br /> ' METHODOLOG <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br /> PELICAN COMMUNITY PARK <br /> City of Sunny Isles Beach <br /> ' Request for Proposal# 12-10-03 <br /> 18070 Collins Avenue 4th Floor <br /> Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160 <br /> PROPOSAL DATE December 12, 2012 <br /> Ballard Sports is pleased to submit the following proposal for the reconstruction of the grass and <br /> clay playing field area with synthetic turf at Pelican Community Park. <br /> The field to be reconstructed is 37,800 SF +1-based on the information provided. <br /> PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK and TIME ALLOTED: <br /> 1. Design and permitting process with the county. January-June, 2013 <br /> 2. Environmental protection shall be silt fence as necessary. 1-2 days. <br /> 3. Remove grass and sod layer and regrade resulting subsoil. Laser fine grade entire field area to <br /> establish proper crown and cross slope. 2-4 days. <br /> 1 4. Drainage system will include HDPE header pipes along three sides of the field. These header <br /> pipes will connect to JDrain flat panel drains which will be installed at the bottom of our turf stone <br /> base layer. The header pipes will outfall into the existing storm system adjacent to the field. Backfill <br /> of the header trenches will be with porous, rapid draining aggregate. 3-4 days. <br /> ' 5. Perimeter turf anchor will be a cast in place concrete curb with attached 2"x 4" PT nailer for turf <br /> connection. 3-4 days. <br /> 6. A geotextile fabric liner will be provided to isolate the existing subsoil from the new aggregate <br /> ' base for the field. 1 day. <br /> 7. JDrain flat panel drains(as in item#4)will be installed above the geotextile liner in a 20 foot on <br /> center herringbone pattern. These drains will collect and channel water moving through the base <br /> aggregate to the perimeter header pipes. 1 day. <br /> 21 I Ballard Construction, Inc.
